Community Support

We are dedicated to serving community needs within Apache Junction/Gold Canyon, and worldwide through Rotary International. Recipients have included Community Alliance Against Family Abuse (CAAFA), Boys and Girls Club, Genesis Project, Food banks - Gold Canyon Methodist & Superstition Community Food Bank, Project Help, Days for Girls International and other organizations - as needs arise

Community Service

Members actively participate throughout the year in numerous community events:

- Annual ‘Make a Difference Day’ and ‘Rotary Week of Service’, brings members together to work on various projects with other community groups

- Assorted drives gather items like food, shoes, back-packs, school supplies, and other items as needs arise.

- Bell ringing volunteers support Salvation Army annual holiday fundraising.

Fund Raisers

Club Members energetically plan, volunteer and support annual fund-raising projects that raise monies for community support and service needs.

- In partnership withe Superstition Community Food Bank, the Club holds a Casino Night Event to help support the Food Bank Backpack Program.

- Lost Dutchman Rodeo in Apache Junction annually finds Club members volunteering to sell beer/fund-raise

- Lost Dutchman Marathon finds Club members managing the 8K course and aid station for the past 20+ years

- Additional fund-raisers occur throughout the year

Education and Literacy

Youth education, scholarships and literacy are a major focus for the Club.

Scholarship assistance is awarded annually to outstanding senior students planning college or vocational career path training.

Literacy efforts of elementary schools are supported by providing age-appropriate books and other needed supplies.

Rotary Fellowship

As people of action, members develop meaningful connections--in person and on Zoom-- and lasting friendships through their participation in Club meetings, projects and social events.
