Registration is now open for our 22nd annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, December 17th, 2022. The event is a four person scramble played in the foothills of the Superstitions, on the stunning Dinosaur Mountain Golf Course at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort and Spa. Sign up today to reserve your spot (we're limited to 124 players).
The proceeds benefit many local non-profit organizations in the East Valley. Revenues from the event also help provide scholarships for a number of high school seniors. You can help with this worthy cause--regardless if you are a golfer or not. If you're a golfer, gather your friends and sign up to play in the event. If you aren't a golfer, you can still help by purchasing sponsorships and/or ball drop tickets, providing raffle items, and asking others to purchase sponsorships or provide raffle items. Some suggestions for raffle event items are gift certificates for restaurants, hair salons, oil changes, nail salons, etc. (all the sorts of goods and services that people regularly need and enjoy). Consider helping a small business by purchasing a gift certificate from them to be donated for use as a raffle item.
Club members attended the Nov 10th 'AJ Prospectors' game, to support the team, as well as using the opportunity to have a fun evening of fellowship. This game was the final home regular season football game of the 2022 season, and SENIOR NIGHT for Prospector Football, AJHS Cheer and Marching Band. The class of 2023 senior students were honored before kickoff. A good time was had by all!
We are looking forward to an update on the 'Crutches for Africa' project from our Assistant District Governor, Dan Coons.

This week's meeting focus was additional planning and preparation for the upcoming Dec 17th annual fundraiser golf tournament. More sponsorships, auction items, and volunteers -- as well as golfers -- are still needed. The golf committee is working very hard to make this year's event a successful and fun one.
The club was excited to induct our newest member, Kathy Hansen! Kathy is owner of Amazing Superstition Foothills Properties Realty.

John Whitney IV - 'Fire Chief Superstition Fire & Medical District' gave an interesting presentation on the 'Year in Review', including information about department growth, vision, mission, values, response data and more, including Q&A with Club members.

Our speaker was Mike Tanner - member of Phoenix West Rotary and Founder of 'Trustarian', which is a search engine/ 'business' and 'vacation rentals by owner' networking website that provides a way for Rotarians to seek out other Rotarians for business needs, ie goods and services, and to publicly share the value of doing business with Rotarians.
Rotarians are able to sign up for a presence on the search engine with either a free or fee-based listing (which offers additional customization and benefits).
