Rotary Service
The Club participated again this year in the Salvation Army's 'red kettle' bell ringing community service project.
Since 1891 the Salvation Army has been hanging 'red kettles' at local businesses during the weeks before Christmas and providing opportunities for the public to make contributions --- funds which are used to help the most vulnerable in local communities.
Superstition Mountain Rotary Club's December 20th meeting was a 'Club Assembly' with members discussing service projects of this past year, as well as upcoming projects. Other Club business was also discussed.
December 13
Our meeting on the 13th was focused on preparing supplies for the December 16th Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
Club members prepared for the golf ball drop, packed bags for golfers ... as well as all sorts of other tasks. Thanks to everyone for all your efforts!

Our speaker was Laila Valencia, Principal of 'Imagine Prep Superstition', which has been tagged as 'THE College Prep School of the East Valley'. The school provides a small learning environment, with more teachers per number of students than some other learning institutions. This helps to ensure each student becomes well-known in their learning environment and helps to foster a sense of family. 'Imagine Prep Superstition' is small but mighty, and strives to empower each of its students to be able to learn at the speed of their individual potential and abilities by focusing on shared values, justice, integrity, and fun.
'Imagine Prep Superstition' was acknowledged by US News & World Report in 2022 as one of the Best High Schools nationally. Students strive to excel and have received more than $500,000 in scholarship funds, over the years.
