Stories
Our guests today were our speaker Mariah Mitchell who was accompanied by Joyce Welsh.

1. Harvey Clark reviewed the upcoming speaker schedule.  The schedule for the rest of 2014 is full and he is currently scheduling in the month of January, 2015.  We will have two very special programs coming up that will be open to the public and will require registering ahead of time.  On Sept. 24 it will be Sgt 1stC Corey Remsburg - the Army Ranger wounded in Afghanistan who received so much press coverage.  His mother and father will be present as well as his service dog.  The other is Congressman Paul Gosar (who is not up for election this year) who will be with us October 22nd.  Harvey and Matt Ruppert will get out press releases to the public for both events.  Harvey passed around a registration sheet for the Remsburg program.  If you weren't at today's meeting and plan to come ask for the registration sheet at Dan's treasurer station.

2. Several Rotarians brought in material contributions for two club projects - support for the kids at the Boys and Girls Club (Apache Junction Chapter) asked for by Director Tim Sicocan and support of the men of the 59th U.S. Battalion brought to our attention by Daiton Rotkowski.  Your gifts for both causes are still welcome.  The B & G Club is sponsoring a golf tournament on September 15.  Players and sponsors from the club are welcome.

3. Our newest member - Tim Sicocan, Director of the AJ Boys and Girls Club
