At his official visit on December 4, District Governor David Simmer educated and inspired us as he spoke about the Rotary Vision Statement: "Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the glove, in our communities and in ourselves". He pointed out that there are three things you can bring to an organization: time, talent and treasure. He also stressed to us that, in order to attract people to our organization, we need to show that we are "people of action"--that we make a difference in the lives of other people.

DG David presented the Rotary ‘Connects the World' Banner to President Bob Benjamin.

David also presented the 'Rotary Connects the World' Award to Assistant District Governor Lee Holmes, in recognition for his efforts to "connect to those beyond the club, locally and globally".

A ‘Certificate of appreciation’ was presented to the club for its support of the ‘End Polio Now Countdown to History Campaign’ -- ‘together we will fulfill our promise to the children of the world and eradicate polio’. Past District Governor Jim Ericson accepted the award for the club.

A ‘Paul Harris plus Seven’ pin was awarded to Past District Governor, Jay Jones.
