Program

Jack Kukuk
Artistic Director - Gold Canyon Arts Council

ImageThe Gold Canyon Arts Council has an objective of presenting the best arts programming that is not otherwise available. Readily available music, such as Country and Rock & Roll, will not be part of the program. Each year GCAC presents a variety of music ranging from traditional classical chamber music to ethnic and folk performances with indigenous instruments.

Jack told us a little about each of the performances scheduled for the upcoming Canyon Sounds season.

CHARLES LINDBERGH: THE LONE EAGLE
This one man show by Steve Carroll offers new insight into the life of Charles Lindbergh.  "The Lone Eagle" was just one of many nicknames given to Charles Lindbergh by the press after he became the first pilot to fly nonstop from New York to Paris in May of 1927.   The play is a searing character study of a man driven by his indomitable will and ambition, who unwillingly became the media's first 'superstar'. He suffered terribly for it, losing his privacy, a normal family life, and his firstborn son.
