• There will be a meeting of the golf committee following the meeting today.
  • Sharon announced that the club has agreed to purchase a table at the CAAFA fundraiser on Saturday, October 17.  If you would like a place at the table for you and your significant other, contact Sharon.  Also October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  She would like club members to wear something purple to our meeting on October 14.
  • Sharon also announced that the Dictionary Labeling Party is Friday, September 25 at 1 PM at Bob Crow's home in Mountainbrook Village.  We need a couple more volunteers to take the dictionaries to the schools on Thursday October 8.
  • Ben Fellows announced the AJ Food Bank Golf Tournament on Saturday, November 21 here at the resort. He is looking for golfers, sponsors and $5 raffle ticket buyers.  See Ben if interested.
  • President Matt reminded us of the "Growing Our Clubs" membership event.  Cost is $10.  Get more info and register at the District 5510 web site.
  • Bill Burrows brought us the news.  Pope Francis spoke out on the climate change issue, saying "The problem can no longer be left to future generations."  Yogi Berra died at age 90.  Bill read some amusing "yogi-isms".
  • Sharon Stinard announced that she filed her paper work with the Secretary of State and is now an official candidate running for the District 16 seat in the AZ House of Representatives.
  • Bill Burrows won the drawing and $10.  The pot was worth $193 today.  Bill drew the 10 of hearts.
