Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio did not make it back to AZ in time to speak at the club today. There were a lot of disappointed members and guests, but we had a great meeting anyway. It started (and ended) with the auctioning off of prizes left over from the golf tournament by a guest auctioneer (a Canadian friend of Alex Blais) who kept people laughing and bidding.

President Matt asked AJ City Manager Bryant Powell to give us an update on developments in AJ. He did that and then fielded questions, including some from "GC Mayor" Len LaFlesch.

Bryant was followed by AJ Chief of Police Tom Kelley who spoke briefly and then also fielded questions.
