Tom DiCamillo – Central Arizona College

ImageWe were treated to an update on the changes taking place at Central Arizona College campuses around Pinal County and specifically at the campus located here in Apache Junction. Tom DiCamillo, Director of Public Relations for CAC, provided us with some handouts that detail the progress being made. The below information is taken directly from one of the handouts.

The transformation of Central Arizona College is underway throughout Pinal County. In 2008 the voters of the county approved a $99 million bond initiative to expand higher education opportunities and accessibility by giving CAC the green light to grow. That authorization by the community is starting to come to fruition

One of the biggest changes is taking place in the city of Apache Junction where the Superstition Mountain Campus is not only being transformed, but is becoming a focal point of revitalization and growth for the city itself.

The centerpiece of the campus is a unique building with a distinctive copper roof. Construction of the building and renovations of existing buildings is expected to be finished in time for the fall semester.
